Dan Foster is a Los Angeles-based writer, lyricist, performer and teaching artist. He's a former staff writer for the TBS/TNT show Drop the Mic, where he made his childhood dream come true by writing raps for The Muppets. He is also a songwriter for the Webby Award-winning kids and family podcast, The Story Pirates, where he wrote such jams as The Wizard Who Could Just Go Poof, featuring Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Puzzle Competition, featuring members of Freestyle Love Supreme. In addition to his work in the rap sphere, he's been a teaching artist and educator in various contexts for over 10 years and is currently developing a live-action screenplay for a YA audience. He has appeared on the Late, Late Show with James Corden five times and thrice been a featured performer at the L.A. Times Festival of Books.
