A Friend for Henry Storytime and Craft (ages 3-7)

Jenn will read her picture book, A Friend for Henry, and then we will make our own fish friend! Bring construction paper, scissors, markers, and something that can help us hold all the bits together like glue, tape, or staples. Jenn hopes you will share pictures of your creations when we are done.
For the craft bring:

Jenn Bailey has visited all 50 states and most of the world’s oceans but not nearly enough foreign countries. Although she started life in Warwick, Rhode Island, she now calls Kansas City home where she happily watches the Chiefs and eats BBQ with her husband, three sons (although one has now launched), and numerous cats and dogs.
Jenn is an editor and author, writing picture books, short stories, and novels. She has her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
Jenn’s debut picture book, A Friend for Henry, which was illustrated by Mika Song, won the American Library Association’s Schneider Family Honor Book award for 2020, the Kansas Author’s Club Children’s Book of the Year award 2019, and was named a Capital Choices Noteworthy Selection in 2020
