Mermaids, Mer-Me’s + mer-more (ages 5+)

Please help me celebrate the official, 100% true, very-first-birthday of my brand new picture book, MABEL: A Mermaid Fable, which is about a shy little mermaid, who wishes she had a mustache…but doesn’t. Mabel is a story about friendship, and self-acceptance, and learning that…sometimes…what you’re looking for… is already right under your nose. And it probably isn’t a mustache.

Let’s read the book together first, if that’s ok. And then let’s all make Mer-ME drawings of ourselves. Or…if you don’t like drawing yourself…maybe make a mer-meow picture of our cat? Or your dog. Woof. Or draw your mom as a mermaid. Or your dad? Or make a mer-monster or draw whatever you like to draw mer-MOST. With or without mustaches. But definitely with a fish tail.

As an added bonus…we might even learn what a NUDIBRANCH is. And maybe even draw one.
