These printable zine activities were originally made for a collaborative project called QuaranZines: an offline, low-cost project to support elementary students in writing, drawing, and reading with the support of authors and illustrators, librarians, and educators. Now, they are available for wider use-have fun!

Doug Salati graduated from the MFA Illustration as Visual Essay program in 2014 and was a recipient of the 2015 Sendak Fellowship. His first illustrated book was In A Small Kingdom written by Tomie DePaola. His most recent book is Lawrence In the Fall, written by Matthew Farina, which was accepted into the 2019 Society of Illustrators Original Art Exhibit for children’s books, received a 2020 Ezra Jack Keats Award Honor for writer and illustrator, and was called “subtly powerful story of agency and independence” in a Publishers Weekly starred review.
